About Me

My name is Khamis Ndune Charo, married with two children who are scooling now.I live in Mrang'a village in Mwamtsunga sub-location Mawesa location in Kaloleni Division in Kilifi county.I'm a class eight leaver.I started this business basically to earn a living and to improve my life. With the earnings from my business I purchase various items such as tappets,brakes,chains,side-mirrors,indicators,head-lights,cables,oil,petrol etc. Also buy food, clothes, pay for school fees for my children etc. Will really appreciate and come to the reality of the dream of operating my company, when I will buy and own many motorbikes for commercial purposes.

My Business

My business is boda-boda,this business provides transporting people with their belongings from one place to another by use of motorbike. There is demand of this business because people need to travel daily either to work or to attend various functions in life.additionally Boda-boda being the private and the fastest means of transport therefore people go for this alternative as it also able to penetrate through small and narrow ways.My customers prefer to my business because Im a careful cyclist and that I keep time. The business is profitable because in a day I can make 1500/= after consuming fuel worth ksh: 400/=.Risks that fac my business are unstable fuel prices and security. My typical monthly income is ksh:34000/= and monthly expenditure is ksh:18000/= therefore my profit is ksh:16000/= Its my hope that once loaned by Zidisha will expand my business so that I improve my income.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan in buying and repairing the motorbike. This will solve many issues like:Joblessness. In our country especially there has been a problem of jobs whereby people are increasing and no jobs to sustain them in their lives. When people are employed as bodaboda in this business by the end of the day get money and help their families.
It has also been in the lead in boosting our economy in our country. Many youth especially have chipped in this business so as to improve the economy of the country.
It has also contributed to the safety of the area as many people have been robbed on the way because they are alone and maybe it is odd hours.
It will be a ready available transport system to attend any emergence which will arise so as to save lifes of the people around.
Therefore wish to appeal to donors and Zidisha community at large that the loan will not only boost me alone but even the entire community around and the larger community that is Kenya at large.
