My name is Jackline Polo but everyone calls me Jackie. Am an only child with 2 living parents who have encouraged me to be independent and work hard for a better life than what they lived as they were brought up in abject poverty but never gave up hope of a brighter future . Am a single mother of a baby boy called Frank who is an absolute joy and the light of my life, he motivates me to get up every morning and work twice as hard as other parents since I'm his mother and father (story for another day) my son is set to join high school this February 2015, with that comes plenty of financial commitment, so every coin my business can make will go a long way to pay his school fee. I live in south B Nairobi and it's a nice place I can't complain. I'm an entrepreneur and an aggressive business lady. I started a business because I've always wanted to be an employer rather than an employee. I've always had big dreams and I take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way, big or small. My business is still small but it keeps growing and my dreams for the future is to get into real estate. Hope u will consider my application for a loan which I will promptly pay back in order to keep getting bigger loans. Thank u and I look forward to a positive response from you.
My current business and primary source of income is a company called Kwanza Ventures that I started with my friend Lucia Bosire.
The company supplies fresh fruits and vegetables which we grow in my parents farm up country. The turn over for the year ending 2014 stands at ksh 1.2M ($13,283) This money is equally shared among the 2 shareholding partners after all expenses are paid, giving each of us a monthly income of ksh 50,000 ($561) the money is not much, but I manage it quite well and it can enable me pay back the loan.
I look forward to a positive response from you.
Hello lenders,
I started a side business of buying goats at the livestock market and reselling them at a profit, to supplement my income. The first loan i received from Zidisha of Ksh 12,800 ($152) helped me in purchasing 8 goats (to add on to my stock of 10 goats which i previously had) at a cost of Ksh. 1500 each ($17.6) these goats are then reared in the farm and fed for a few weeks before reselling them at a profit. The 8 goats were sold at Ksh 2800 ($32.9) each, giving me a total of Ksh 22,400 ($263.5) and a reasonable profit of Ksh. 9600 ($112.9) in just 2 to 3 weeks. This business is unique and the market is unflooded since most people don't like getting their hands dirty, which i don't mind. Am here now requesting for a loan of Ksh 38,217 ($450) which will go into purchasing more goats as well as constructing a favorable and bigger barn or shed for them since my stock is becoming larger by the day. Am looking forward to hearing from you soon. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making my dream a reality and for the immense support. Asante sana (Thank u so much)
Regards Jackie.
