About Me

My names are Ann Wanjiru Githinji and was born 1989 in Laikipia County Nyahururu town in the family of three. I did my primary school exam in 2004 and secondary school exam in 2008. After my O levels i was not able to join university because my other siblings were also in school and so my parents could not afford my fees.

For this reason i started looking for casual jobs in Nairobi in order to support my parents. it was not easy though but all in all my contribution towards my family could be felt.

I'm single and blessed with 2 children, the eldest son is in class three. the smallest is in nursery. I live in pipeline where I run my shoe business and i also sell clothes. I have been in business for two years but due to lack capital to replenish my stock stock has gone down a bit.

My Business

I buy new shoes and clothes resell them at a profit . They are lady's tops, trousers, shorts, skirts and shoes. started the business 2 years ago. i usually operate in an open ground due to financial problem of acquiring a business room. my business is in an ideal place because its near a local bank so i usually get a quite number of clients.

My customers prefer my business because I am always there to serve them. I choose the business because am my own boss and because i had worked in a boutique and had gained experience.

i choose this type of business because it have no much competition on the area i
located. This business make me to have an amount of ksh 15,000 in monthly basis.i use the amount earned to invest my stock, to pay school fees for my children, and also my upkeep with my family.

When the Zidisha organization gives me a loan i will be in a position to add stock to my business . I am confident that i will be able to pay my loans without any problem.

Loan Proposal

When I get this loan, it will help me improve my shoe shop and also clothes. i will use 5000 ksh to buy shoes and 3000 to buy new clothes
The returns will then help expand my shop by renting a house along the way for my customers instead of doing the business in an open ground.
