About Me

My names are Daniel Maina,being born in Nakuru District,Bahati Division,Ndundori location,Lanet Sub-location.I joined Primary School Education in 1993 and completed in 2000 and got my Primary School Certificate.In the following year 2001 I joined Bavuni Secondary School and I was able to complete the Secondary School Education in 2004.After the result s were out in 2005 I never proceeded to college due to the financial constrain in our family,it is when I deciced to venture in the business and I bought my motorcycle. I got married in 2012 to my beloved wife Monicah and we are blessed with one kid,on my free time i engage on football in my village club .

My Business

I am an entrepreneur operating a transport business by motorcycle commonly known as bodaboda,after buying my motorcycle,I joined the world of business cycle and I am so happy about it.
In this business it entails a lot of transparency as most of my customers have confidence with me and they don’t need to move from their homes and places of work to get what they want from our centre ,they just call me and have me deliver the goods to them and as I deliver the goods I get a customer enroute to where am delivering the goods which means I get money twice on the same route.
This services has made me to be popular to so many people around this place. I also offer private transportation to my customers such as taking their children to school and picking them in the evening after school time.This business is so convenient and affordable to many especially here in Gwa-kiongo.
Community in this area prefer to use motorcycle to deliver their farm produce to the market place because is convenient and on timeline as most goods are perishable,.The motorcycle is a bit cheaper as the prices are lower .
My customers prefer me and my business so much because I do handle them with a lot of care through out our journey.I have installed my motorcycle with a radio system to entertain my customers .This business is so profitable because the money I make on average is 29 USD per day,this translates to 882 USD per month,out of this money I pay for House rent 47 USD Water & Electricity 83 USD,school fees for my two sisters in secondary school 352 USD ,and I am left with 398 USD as my profit .
For the loan that Zidisha Team is going to offer to my business i am going to Top-up to my savings and buy another motorcycle and employ a person to operate it, and also increase my income and also I will increase my savings.

Hey every lender,and Zidisha Team,first is to thank each and everyone for the support you accorded me and my business with the first loan,this being my second loan i will channel this loan to buying of the front shocks of my first motorcycle that need to be changed with new ones at a cost of USD 114, service of the motorcycle and buying the oil and labour charges at USD 67,this will improve the performance and service delivery to my customers because the motorbike will be in good condition .Thank You in advance for your kind support.
