My name is Austine Mangaki and the first born from the family of 7.My mother being Mr and Mrs Mangaki. My education back ground, i went to Pamodzi Primary school and later i was selected to grade 8 at Ndeke Secondary School.When i completed my high i was sent to Lusaka town at my uncle house to be helping him at his Farm.From there i was able to learn farming and how to do farming business.My uncle taught me business at his farm.Today am a proud farm business man.We celebrate the Kuomboka ceremony and it is the most attracted traditional ceremony in West Province of Zambia in Mongu. Tourist and people from all walks life come watch ceremony.I need my children to get to the University and acquire more knowledge as the world now is becoming more dynamic and education is the key to success.

My Business

Am a farmer and i do business farming which is the main source of livelihood.Grow and sale maize, sweet potatoes,cassava, vegetables, rice,groundnuts, wheat, sower beans and bean.I sale these goods to both local people and companies.I ventured in the farming business because it is highly profitable.The cost at the farms are many because fertilizer should be available at cost and most i spend K 4500, including pesticides and the profits come to K 3000 after all expenses.The profits save some money for buying farming inputs,pay school fees and also improve the well being of the family as am the bread winner of my family.

Loan Proposal

With current loan am applying for I need to buy 20 rolls of Razer of Wire which will cost me at least 3500.00 ZMW, It will benefit me by fencing the farm land because there are a lot of animals grazing in the farms, by fencing it with razer wire it will help me to avoid animals of destroying the crops from the farm.

Income Source

Farming business is good and profitable as compared to other businesses despite a few challenges.
Many businesses' have collapsed due to many challenges. Having this business I have also a grocery shop which has been sustaining us, grocery business generates good income on daily basis and help to repay the loan. In addition to that am also working as transport officer and I a monthly salary.
