My name is Henry Tembo. I live in Sinazongwe district. I am married with two children.
I stay on my parents farm which is located along the shores of Lake Kariba. The farm is big and I have built my own house where I stay with my family.
We are a family of fishermen and women. Both my parents are experienced at catching fish from the lake using fishing nets.
However, I have recently introduced a new technology on the farm - cage fishing. Cage fishing involves growing fish in cages on the lake.
I have two cages and I have stocked 10,000 fingerlings in each cage.
My business is doing doing well. I sell the the fish to fish traders in the big towns.
The type of fish species which I grow is Nile Tilapia
I plan to use the loan to buy fish feed and fish fingerlings to stock in my cage.
My fish cage is located on Lake Kariba in Sinazongwe district. I plan to sell the fish to fish traders in Lusaka and on the Copper belt.
Zambians have a distinct preference for fish. This preference for fish has helped to boost my business.
My fish business is doing well and is successful.
