About Me

I was born a second born to a family of six.I attended my primary school at kokwet primary school which was a walking distance from home.Due to the strict rules at school,I had to wake up early enough walk past heavy dew to reach school on time. I managed pass my primary studies well and joined a district school called kokwet secondary which is adjacent to the primary school.I would walk to school and back during the evening. At school I decided to start selling bread during break times as there was no idea to cover for the same. From this I managed to get profits that helped me assist my parents complete my schooling fee and also help myself get some pocket money.I managed to pass well and secured myself a place at the University of Eldoret where I studied for bachelor of agriculture. This was a major force in the choice of my business as farming and particularly maize farming. I developed a staunch liking for this as it was a manageable course. Some unique characteristics of our land is the art of youth materialization.Youth are developed well to be self dependent. Children should study well and become innovative youths. One of my past time hobbies is tree planting and community cleaning activities.

My Business

From maize farming, the major goods I produce are maize fruits. Some of the services I offer include job opportunities to the community through labour work such as weeding and applying herbicides. This activities and goods are useful and in demand as it is a source of food security in our country and majorly the immediate community. From the job opportunities offered, some community members meet their day to day needs. I chose the business as it is manageable and requires seosonal investments. The typical cost from ploughing, planting, weeding and top dressing amount to $165 per acre of land.Revenue from the farm per acre at the end of the farming season amounts to $500,from an average 25 bags of maize sold at $20 each. From the profits, I help my parents school my siblings.

Loan Proposal

The loan I am requesting for will be used to purchase CAN fertilizer. The fertilizer will cost $25 each. I will apply two bags per acre and thus for my two acre land it will require four bags, thus the total cost will be $100.This component will improve the quality of the maize produced and the yield will be exemplary. I expect the profits to be of significant value of around 45% in increase.
