About Me

I am Faustina Darko, hails from Sunyani Area One in Brong Ahafo Region but currently live in Newtown Extension, a suburb of Sunyani. My parents are Mr. Joseph Darko (deceased) and Madam Janet Serwaa. I had my basic and secondary education with Christ International School and Twene Amanfo Secondary and Technical School respectively and hold a certificate in National VocationalTraining Institute. I am married to Joshua Jones Opoku Marfo and have two children. While and after school, I worked with some hotels and fast food vendors to gain some hand on experience but due to the ages of my children and my desire to establishing a business to provide training and some job opportunities to the many unempployed graduates in the country, I started a catering and events planning agency (Swiss Catering and Events) to train and provide the excellent service required by the many dissatisfied consumers in and outside sunyani.

My Business

The purpose for establishing this business (Swiss Catering and Events) was to train interested individuals and groups and provide job opportunities to the many unemployed graduates whiles being a hub for the provision of all catering and event planning equipment. A survey I carried out while in school and after completion showed a high demand for good catering and even planning services and its accompanying equipment vis a vis the personnel with the expertise required to rendering such services. The business is highly profitable because the demand is high and consumers prefer mine over the others but services have challenges which range from some basic equipment and material (i.e. automated mixer, electric drink dispenser, stencils, cookie press, designed caked tins, helium balloon blower, icing piping nozzles, etc.) needed to easy the production stage and for training interested persons.

Loan Proposal

The business is very lucrative because the demand is high and consumers prefer mine over the many others but services have challenges now which ranges from some basic equipment and material (i.e. automated mixer, electric drink dispenser, stencils, cookie press, designed caked tins, helium balloon blower, icing piping nozzles, etc.) needed to easy the production stage and for training interested persons so mostof the money will still go into acquiring the equipment and materials needed to train and increase profit.
