Gilbert Siwale is my name and I was born in 1999 in a family of 5. My parents worked in the mines in luanshya. I grew up liking school but we had a challenge of finances the time when the mines were privatized by the government. That was things got tough for us as family and we had to look for money. That’s how I started learning bricklaying and been doing my own business. I am not yet married and my hobbies are listening to music and playing football
I started working as a helper for a certain man who had a construction company. This company was specialized in building houses and many other types of buildings. I saw potential in myself to work on my own because I am a very fast learner. So I started my own business, I was going round farms looking for contracts to build but now am well established am known such that people just ring me on my phones and that’s how my business has been. I construct poultry houses, piggery, housing units for goats and any structures on a farm. My typical is transport of building material and labour because this job sometimes I cant do it alone so I have employed a fellow youth
I want to thank all dear lenders for my last loan which I have just finished repaying today. I am back again applying for a loan amount 4,000 ZMW. I have an order to build a small farm house for my client at a farm.. I will use all my materials and then i will charge my client after i finish the project. I will buy cement and bricks. The total estimates of materials for building this house is k20,000. From this project I will able to make profit and this will impact very well on my personal finances. I will use the profit wisely to repay the loan and reinvest in the business as I desire to see my business grow from one level to another. I therefore appeal to lenders to help me with this loan.
Income Source
Besides my business service of building houses and chicken runs for my clients I also sell chickens. One time I worked for a farmer who failed to pay me all the money I charged him so we ended up to agree that he pays me in kind. He gave me 15 chickens as part of the payment and these are layers. So that’s how I started keeping chickens and have been selling them and they are on demand. Even where there are economic challenges people still ned to eat so with this side business I can easily repay the loan.
