About Me

I'm a 37 year old mother of 3. Due to my tough family background, having no raised up by a struggling single parent, I learnt to work hard and to be focused in everything that I do. I got inspired by my late mother that there is a sure way of success and progress through entrepreneurship a part from my part time teacher in a language school.

My Business

A part from my little income from the part time 4hours teaching per day, I opened a small grocery shop in 2017, which gives me approximately $90 per week and a profit of around $30. Which is a decrease of what I used to get last year.
I therefore would like to expand my business by Opening another cereal shop in a different area, due to market demand in that particular business area.
This far, I have been able to expand my cereals shop with the profit I have made this far.
A part from that, it also helps me pay for my children's school fees.
I'm very grateful for the great support from Zidisha team.
Kindly help me secure this loan since I have stayed for close to 6months without getting a loan.

Loan Proposal

I wanted a loan of $20 so as to buy a few kilograms of beans for my stock. I have currently run out of stock and I don't have extra cash at the moment.

Thanks for finding my project. I plan to buy a gas oven that would help complement my electric oven for my baking business
    It costs approximately Ksh. 30000.
    I really appreciate.

I'm definitely going to buy a new gas oven for my bakery business. It's surely going to back up the current electric oven I'm using.

I'm very grateful for the previous loan I got through the help of my backers/ lenders. It really helped me set up a small bakery though I experienced a lot of down times but I managed.

I would like to adjust because I have been recently financially disstabalized due to my kid's condition, been on and off the hospital for the last 3weeks. I'm currently working hard to clear my loan arrears and eventually resume my normal repayment schedule.

I would like to confirm that I received ksh. 16988. This enabled me to restock my pastry business by buying cupcakes baking tins, baking ingredients and a deposit of my small bakery shop. Thank you very much for the support.

Thank you very much for funding my business project! I'm going to urgently stock my baking stuffs and pay at least one month's rent for the Bakery. I believe that my business is going to not only pick up well but also prosper .

    Hallo .
I would like to be very grateful to my esteemed lenders for their consistent support this far.
I had a serious challenge in the past six months since my child fell seriously ill and needed a heart surgery, which consumed my finances and time. This adversely affected my business and career because I had to stay in the hospital for almost three months without running my cereal business. Consequently, it also forced us to sell out the business to help raise funds for the hospital bills.
Fortunately, all is back to normal now and I intend to revive the business once again. I have already reopened the shop with some small amounts of cereals but I really need a boost on the capital to help me purchase the cereals.
    Kindly assist.
    Thanks.

Hallo Zidisha Team, Thanks. The mentee Lynette has been in the hospital again for the last 4days. Her baby developed more complications after the operation but she is getting on better so far.

It's impossible to open the cereal shop because she has to be in hospital.

However, she has spoken with her brother to help offset my loan and has promised to do so by the weekend.

She kindly requests the lenders to understand her situation.

    Regards Catherine.

Hallo Zidisha Team, the mentee is having challenges making the regular repayment because her child is very sick and was undergoing heart surgery which is very expensive. She requests for some time to reorganize her finances.

I'm very grateful to my lenders. Through their help, I have been able to expand my business by increasing the stock.
I have even started supplying cereals to the nearby small scale cereals retailers.
By the grace of God, I have dream that my shop will soon turn into a wholesale shop.
If it were not for your assistance, my business wouldn't have been the way it is today.
    Thanks a lot.
