About Me

I am Juliana Gyampoh, I was born at Akim Oda in the Eastern region of Ghana. I'm 28 years of age. I started primary school at St. Andrews Anglican Primary and Junior Secondary School. I continued my Senior Secondary School at St. Francis Senior Secondary and Technical School at Akim Oda. I had my University education at Presbyterian University College. After completion, I had a job at Suhum Municipal Assembly in the Eastern region of Ghana as a typist with a very poor monthly salary. I have a talent as a hairstylist and want to train other women who are unemployed. Due to my financial constraints, I have been able open a small shop but not well furnished to train other women as expected.
Due to my poor salary and other expense at home, I cannot buy the needed equipment to furnished my little shop. Creams, relaxers, hair drier and other equipments will attract more customers for me to generate more money and also train the other women who are unemployed in my community in order to improve upon our poor standard of living.

My Business

I do and style hair for the unemployed women and other ladies in the community. The picture here shows the hair do for one unemployed woman in the Community. I can make about 15 women's hair in a week in the community, some of them pay and some pay in installment after the hair do. I use my poor monthly salary to pay electricity and water bill and saves nothing. Equipments aforementioned can help generate more income and train the women for better lives.

Loan Proposal

My salon is really progressing and standard of living has also improve. After buying my hair drier for the salon, customers are now happy and satisfied with my services because they don't waste time in the salon. My problem or challenge now is my limited chairs for customers to relax and wait for their turn. Customers usually wait outside under a tree in front of the shop to wait. Some complain bitterly when they fed up of waiting. Some even get angry and leave for home. I need this loan to buy extra chairs for the salon and also to furnish the salon for the comfort of my customers. This can help improve the growth of the salon and also more women can be employed to achieve my aim of training more women in my community and also improving their standard of living and that of mine life.
