About Me

My Name is Millicent Njue. I am married with three children and live in Nairobi. I hope to be an established chicken farmer and as soon as that happens retire to my farm in the country .I have an online business to supplement my family income alongside farming in the country. I hope to retire to the countryside in a few years thus need to set up a sustainable business venture before then. I have a passion for farming and have settled on chicken farming since it is the most profitable in my area. I lost quite a number of chicken from an outbreak of disease in my area thus I need to add onto the remaining ones to build my stock.

My Business

My area is not very good with crops due to inadequate rainfall. It is for this reason that I came up with the idea of keeping chicken for an income since not much water is required for it. I have found out that there is ready market in the nearby towns therefore guaranteed of market for my chicken. Unfortunately I lost quite a number of chicken to a recent outbreak thus need to add on to the remaining stock. I aspire to be a leading meat supplier in the coming years and also have eggs for sale. If I can grow my stock I will then be able to supply my products to the town that is near me and will have achieved my goal of being a successful farmer and even offer some people jobs on the farm to be able to take care of the chicken. That is why I need a loan.

Loan Proposal

Once I get this loan, I will get a specialist to advice me on disease prevention since I lost quite a number of chicken in a recent outbreak and also elevate the chicken house. I also need to increase the number of chicken to be able to attain maximum profit through the sale. This also includes getting a new breed in the area that is a mix of both the local and some modified that is bigger and stronger with more resistance to disease.
