About Me

i was born some 46 years ago in nyeri county. i went through my primary and my high school education there . but i moved to Nairobi city for my tertiary education where i did a doploma in applied biology at the kenya polytechnic then now technical university of kenya. i also did my higher diploma there.
when i finished my high school i started some farming back at home where i used to grow cabbages sukuma wiki and tomatoes ans selling them locally and at karatina and nyeri wholesale markets. for a duration of two years. by then i accumulated some money which i used to pay for my college. when i college i hired a two acreland at kijabe where i used to grow sukuma wiki and spring onions and then sell them over the weekend at kangemi and kawngware markets.

My Business

in 2005 i got a job with nairobi university as a lab technologist where i work to date. i also did not stop farming as a hobby , i still grow some horticultural crops like tomates and fruits. i would like to propel this farming to the next level as a second source of income even after i leave informal employment some 14 years to come. i chose this kind of business because i have a passion in farming.

Loan Proposal

i have just started this project with a previous loan. already i have 30 eggs of kienyenji improved chicken in my incubator. they are due 15th of September. my vision is to reach a target of 1000 chicken by the end of October . this will grantee me mature chicken for meat during the Easter holidays next year. after my market research may people do not travel upcountry during these holidays and so i fore see a high demad fo chicken in nairobi.
