About Me

I am a twentynine year old Kenyan man married with one child and currently a resident of Busia county. I sat for my Kenya Certificate of Secondary school Education (K.C.S.E) examinations in the year 2001(two thousand and one) and attained a mean grade of B-(minus) in Hono secondary school in Siaya county.

Having no fee to continue with my education I moved to Nairobi where I did odd jobs, saved some money and managed to pay for my CPA fees and attained CPA part 1 certificate. Armed with this certificate I managed to get employed as an accounting officer with duties involving posting debit and credit entries, preparing statements and reports. I have also worked in different business set-ups like industrial production, retail business and service industry which enabled me to gain experience in various fields.

My Business

My last job in Nairobi was as an accounting officer for an insurance company before I relocated to Busia to set up my own business as a dealer in children and women foot wear, which I have set up with my savings from the salary earned at the insurance company. My business has no fixed abode as I move from market to market on every market day selling my wares.

I took the decision to venture into business in Busia because of two major reasons, the first one being that my father had passed away leaving my mother alone after at our rural home and being their own male child I had to move closer to home to settle some land issues that had cropped up and the second being that Busia is a neighbouring county to Siaya that thrives on trade (as opposed to Nairobi which is far away and costly to move to and from Siaya).

I move to four markets a week and so far my rate of stock turnover is impressive, I therefore need to get some loan to increase my stock.

Loan Proposal

I am applying for this loan and if so granted by the willing and generous lenders that i benefit from the same it is my intention that i se the disbursed amount in increasing my stock of ladies footwear that are currently in vogue, and this is how i intend to use the said amount for thousand kenyan shillings(Kes 4,000) in purchasing open ladies shoes, three thousand kenyan shillings (Kes 3000) and one thousand shillings in procurement costs. As this is my current credit limit i will limit my expenses thus until my credit limit increases, thank you.
