About Me

I was born in a small village in Namanga, Kajiado County in a family of Seven, three girls and two boys including me. My father is a retired school teacher while my mother is a farmer.
As the last born in our family, most of my siblings were all grown up and my parents had already settled upcountry so they sent me to live with my aunt and grandmother in Nairobi where i schooled as they sent my school fees and upkeep money through out my primary and partially in my high school years. When i joined form three my dad retired from teaching and now we had to depend on farming completely for sustenance as well as for my school fees, with little help from relatives and teachers who cared i was able to register for KCSE and do my exams though my result slip and high school certificate was withheld with the school administration until i can pay my fee arrears. The most important thing is that i did my KCSE exams, as for the slip and certificate i plan to go for them as soon as i stabilize in my business.
Being the last born in a family that struggles to make ends meet is not the same as being born in a wealthy family where the last born gets all spoilt with all they want in life, actually its very difficult but mot people tend to assume that its easy but truth be told just because we don't have younger siblings doesn't men we don't have ourselves to take care of or we don't even try to help our elder ones in whichever way we can. every one of my sibling is pretty occupied with their own lives as most of them has their own families and only wanted to see me through high school and now that am past high school the struggle is real out here.
My plan in life is to become an entrepreneur with a string of profitable business so that i can be able to offer employment for those struggling out there without employent

My Business

After my form four studied it was obvious that that was the far my parents were able to take me so my former schoolmate friend who had completed a year before me told me of his business idea he had in mind and it was quite a nice idea so i looked for capital from friends and family and we started the business together. His idea was to open a movie shop so we did it and so far two years down the line i have no regrets whatsoever . The movie shop involves selling of movies, series and video games as well as blank discs etc, The profits are really good as you buy only a single master copy of a movie or a series from which you can rip as much copies as the customers need so there's nothing like overstocking, dead stock or expiry as movies are all time as some prefer old, others latest and others go back and forth
The good thing about this business is that it has very little difference in boom and recession seasons as sales are always good despite the time of the year, climatic changes or culture. During school holidays most f our customers are school children ho want to play games and watch movies as well but this doe not mean that when when school reopens business goes down because during school days we have non schoolers watch movies throughout the year.
The other advantage is that the customer base increases day by day as one customer or student brings in the other and there are many walk ins as well on a daily basis.
Its a win win provided you have the latest collections and maintain a perfect customer service. This makes the customers happy if the quality of the movies is perfect and they are also treated well an keen attention is paid to heir needs as they arise.
So far the business has been good and has been able to sustain both of us and we both plan to open other branches for more income to be able to establish ourselves. From the profit we use part of it for maintenance of the business premises, restocking and being our sole income we also use it for our own personal needs.

Loan Proposal

Following the covid 19 pandemic, i have researched and would like to launch a new service- cleaning and disinfection to corporates, schools and individuals.
Having a clean working space will not only lower the spread of covid 19 but prevent germs and bacteria spread, keep pests away and lower stress levels creating a more productive working environment.
Our services will include:
- Office Cleaning
- Office Disinfections
- Hotel Housekeeping
- Sale of branded masks and sanitizers.

We will produce high-quality service that is affordable and flexible to our clients.

The loan will assist in purchasing the aprons needed when spraying and disinfectants for the service since i already have the spray cans and am actively marketing.

Income Source

It is because of this pandemic that i have come up with the business idea because essential services and most people have already started going back to work in Kenya but with all guidelines being followed through to ensure safety of all workers.
Therefore our services are very essential and much needed at the moment.
