About Me

I a 27 year old a father of 4 sons and a happy husand of one and a result oriented man raised in the vast villages of Swahili community in Mombasa. I was brought up by a poligamous father in the midist of 14 siblings. Being the first born my siblings looked up to me so I had to create revenue to all my parents keep up the family. I happen to be in the forgotten villages which we call "kaya" in Swahili so my government did not get to educate most of us but I got to learn English in my teens inorder to have communication with tourists in the Sandy Kenyan beaches who made friends with. A friend of mine from USA called Alex told me if I was familiar with Zidisha and even shown me on how to apply for a loan here today applying. My Swahili culture is unique in that it even made me start a Swahili small hotel to show case to tourists about our culture through good and hospitality.
I have a small beatch traditional hotel which I hope to grow . I started it by help of my tourists friends who have me grants that I later repaid. Now I want to grow my hotel. Due to expozure to modernization I want my kids to follow their passion when they are old enough to make desitions. But I would like one of them amongst themselves to be Banker so as he perfects in the art of money and profit.

My Business

I prepare Swahili foods to local and foreign tourist in the Sandy beaches of Kenya Mombasa. The rising growth of the tourism industry here in Kenya has made me think of expanding my hotel due to high demand. I picked this hotel business becouse I identified that most tourists especially from Europe have urge for adventure in to African Swahili culture which involves food and lifestile of the Swahili people so I thought it was a good idea. I earn up to 20000 Kenya shillings a month and after paying for expencses I remain with 13000 ksh which I use to cater for my family and now expand my business.
