About Me

My name is Mariama Dieng and I was born in 1978. I am friendly and sociable and enjoy work earned by the sweat of my brow. That's why I am requesting this loan; to have my own fresh start to work. I grew up in a house with my grandmother and grandfather and my uncles, being a big family. I live in Dakar, the capital of Senegal and an important touristic site. The business is going well on the African art side for the decors and traditional bongos. There's even the African dance which I believe is an art and I can say the trade is really flourishing. I work in the vintage and small women bags, which is going pretty well. I also have regular customers who submit me regular orders.

My Business

I'm still in the used clothes business which is my favorite and it goes pretty well. I've bought bales of clothes that I sell on to clients, sometimes on credit. I give the merchandise for ironing one week after receiving the money. I display the rest in a shop. Sometimes I come across bales of blouses or shoes that I sell in a second hand clothes market. Sometimes I find clothes for ceremonies that sell very fast and at a higher profit. I sell them to women or tailors who want to put them on display.

Loan Proposal

I sell used clothes, incense, clothing. I do embroidery custom made. I have regular customers for used clothes. As winter is approaching, I am going to look for blankets, sweaters, and bags for the school year. Incense also sells well in the winter.
