About Me

My name is Adama Ouedraogo and I took my primary education in the department of Bama, just to the final grade. I am in a nut factory on the road to Bama, five km from the city of Bob and I have a contract for six months of the year. My secondary activity is in the trade of animals, since my childhood, with my father. My father bought cattle, sheep and goats in the Sahel. In the Sahel region, rain does not fall much, and because of the lack of feed for the beasts, the herders need to sell their beasts during the dry season. I went with my father to buy and then we transported to bama. In the interior, in Bama, we have lots of water and feed is plentiful.

My Business

My father is retired, and has passed on this business. I continue to buy cattle, sheep and goats in the Sahel. The dry season lasts six months in the Sahel and I profit from the season by buying cattle and sheep in Dori and transporting them to Bama. In Dori, I can buy a cow for 100000 francs to 150000 francs, I pay no more then that, the transport costs me 5000 francs per head, the sheep cost 4000 francs plus transport of 1000 francs.

Loan Proposal

I take two to three days on the road before arriving at Bama, when I arrive I have a veterinarian look at the cattle and sheep and give them what they need, vaccines, and we have feed for them at our house, the animals eat till they are full. I feed them for three months, and then resell them. The cattle that I buy at 100000 francs I resale for 200000 francs, I profit 100000 francs, but the care of them can cost me 5000 francs per head.
