My Names are Simon Githaiga, am the 2 born in a family of 4. i started schooling in 1992 at Mwireri primary school later joined Anester Secondary School then to Egerton university where i studies Livestock Production. i started working immediately after my university completion i got finance from my mother who struggled this made me work very hard to support her. i knew that chicken were in demand and the profit margin is very good. in our area the climate favors chicken and the market there is road to town which makes it easy for transportation. when free i love playing football and reading inspirational books.
i sell eggs and chicken to others farmers and to hotels. i noticed that its the only business where there is no loss and the demand is high because most of people want to keep chickens and hotels and there is people from outside country who comes and offers market to poultry farmers . i chose this business because by then i had no capital and they only place i was given was small for cash crop farming and i loved poultry business since childhood. i usually spend like 30,000ksh per month for food and drugs fro chicken. and my monthly income is 60,000/= i save my money because i want to upgrade my farming skills and i want to increase the number of chicken. i need more money for construction and for buying of chicks.
Hello Zidisha team your funds helped me to start construction of my chicken house, am now requesting more funds to complete my project.
