About Me

In my younger days, my father was a shop keeper, I used to visit him and observe what he was doing and as a result I gained so much interest in business. I think that's the reason I pursued a business course in university. When I sat for my form four exams, I thought I would get a grade that would make me admitted to University under the government sponsorship in Kenya but that was not the case.

I missed being admitted with one point though I got mentors who encouraged me to keep on no matter the odds. So I joined a college to pursue a diploma in Cooperative management and did not give up till this year when I completed my Bachelors in Cooperative management.

Due to challenges in Campus, I was forced to start a pool table business which gave me a good amount to sustain me in school, my father was a farmer then so could not afford the whole amount for my studies bearing in mind they have four more children other than me.

Business came with its challenges and it’s those challenges that have made me strong. The culture I live in is one of kikuyu's, in Kenya they are well known for business, this culture has encouraged me all long to know that i can be successful in business.

I have a hobby in swimming and I love poetry so much too. As a poet, I love speaking for the unspoken agony in people’s lives. Am also a motivational blogger who does blogs to motivate the young generation.

In future, if am able to fund my Masters studies, I want to give back to my society. How I wish that one day I will be a lecturer to give back knowledge that I have gained all through to the younger generation, so as to impact positively in their lives that they can unleash their capabilities.

My Business

I provide cybercafé services to my clients. Cybercafé services are in demand due to the high involvement by people of all ages working online, this are majorly young people who want to talk with others around the world and also quicken how they do their work.

My business offers quality services as compared to services offered by my competitors around. I also have a good relationship with my clients in person and this motivates them to have the owner of the business serving them, unlike when one leaves business to be operated by employees alone thus lacking interaction with the business owner to give their proposals on what services they would like.

I chose this kind of business due to my passion for working with people and my passion for online working too.

I also choose it so as to help my community have access to others in the world due to internet, so they can be able to tap opportunities around the world. my typical costs are cost of printing papers, cartilage and repairs cost for my machines and computers which is once in a month.

In the near future, i also will start teaching basic computer skills to the society i live in. Its in the KCC slums of East-lands in Kenya therefore majority lack even basic knowledge which is needful in the current times we live in.

I usually charge up to 0.15USD or (1.5 KES) for a minute of using my computers plus internet. I will use the profits to reinvest to make my business bigger and even join for a master’s course in the future when profits are enough to carter for that. I will also pay school fees for my son .

Loan Proposal

With this loan, I will be able to buy computers systems worth 350 US Dollars or (35000 KES) and a printer worth 500 US Dollars or (5000 KES). Also I will buy connection cables and wiring for my cyber shop at 70 US Dollars or (7000 KES), in total, this will be 470 US Dollars or (47000 KES) .With a modern cyber cafe I will be able to increase profits for my cyber business as there are few cyber cafes in my area making people have to walk for long to get such services. This will bring customers more closer to the service and at an affordable cost. There is a rise in need of computer needs, thus helping people do their work fast online. I will offer high quality services thus attracting more customers to my business. I will be able to get engaged in printing and photocopy business, which I will be charging 0.1 US Dollars or (10 KES) per page in printing. I will also charge 0.15 US Dollars (1.5 KES) for a single paper in photocopying but a more quality one. In one month from my business, I will be expecting to get an income of roughly 200 US Dollars or (20,000 KES) with this. I can be able to repay my loan and get enough for my needs. If profits will be enough, I will save to advance in my studies in the coming year.
