About Me

I was born in Malbaza region of Tahoua, but I grew up in Dogondoutchi, region of Dosso where I attended primary and secondary school between 1984 and 1997. I took interest in business when I entered university in 1999 and since then I have been looking for ways to develop a huge business enterprise. The vision is to provide jobs to young people and reduce the prevalence of poverty, but also, to influence them for positive change and development. I had an early experience of youth work in the church where I was youth leader. In 2011 I started my work with YMCA to make difference in the lives of young people by empowering them. I am single and live in Boukoki II neighborhood in Niamey.

My Business

Beside my work, I run a business of animal rearing, which I started after following a business training by DBSP. Having a salary paid work is not all the time a guaranty of family life without financial problems especially in Niger. The business training contributed a lot to uncover my abilities and create self-confidence, trust, and the desire to be independent. Since I am not okay with my salary, doing business activities will be very helpful for me to cover my needs. I bought female sheep that I entrusted to my friend in the village. There is better facility to carry out the business and find labor in the village areas. But the difficulties include slow productivity and long term profit from outputs. Hence, my idea of starting this new business on cosmetics especially perfumes. The profit from this second business will provide additional investment to the first one in terms of enough animal feeding and vitamins. The success story of my businesses will definitely be a testimony to all young people to know that we can earn income and provide for our needs without asking help from others.
Translate My Loan Proposal
My first loan from Zidisha has contributed a lot in the growth of my animal rearing business. I am grateful to Zidisha and to all lenders who have contributed in the success of my business through the first loan.
As my sheep keep growing in number, I wish to come for a second loan which again will allow me to buy vitamins, grass and animal feed to keep them well fed and in good health. I intend to set up a good enclosure to protect the animals from heat and rain during the approaching rainy season.
I pray God to keep blessing the Zidisha community as they continue the good work that helps the poor and most vulnerable to get out of poverty and improve their living conditions.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders and Zidisha family,__Let me first say words of thank you and gratitude for the previous loans that you founded since the start of my livestock business. The loans really contribute in improving my social life because I was able to assist my parents from my revenues and run the business successfully which would have been impossible with only my remuneration. I wish to come again for a new loan to expand the animal business by building a stock of herbs and grass after harvest by farmers. I will buy 600 bundles of grass at 0.5 US Dollar each to store half to feed the sheep and the remaining half for resale at the price of 1.5 US Dollar 4 months later. A profit of around 400 USD can be reinvested in the business. Also 150 US Dollar will be used to buy a ram because the sheep are now grown and some probably in gestation. I have planned to buy one last year but was adviced to postpone. With the rest of the money from this loan I will be providing for veterinary care and additional feeds such as bags of wheat bran every month. And finally to the woman who takes care of my sheep I will offer a monthly motivation because she is mother in need of support to provide for her family. This loan will again contribute to success and meaning in my life and those who work in my business.__Thank you Zidisha and lenders and keep up the work
