I'm Beneta Lihabi from Kenya, living in a county called Kakamega. I'm a form two dropout, this came about because of lack of financial support from parents due to poverty. I started keeping paultry and growing of crops especially vegetables and cereals back in 2011 when other businesses were not working for me. When I came across Zidisha in 2017 is when I expanded my business.
I have set side land and structured there paultry house, from the paultry I earn 3 usd per day, that is from eggs, when it is a season to sell around three quarters of the stock I earn more than 50 usd. From cereals and vegetables I generate 400 per day, but the amount do vary sometimes. The profit I save, use it for upkeep, reinvest some and pay debts.
I will purchase livestock feeds, fertilisers and pay my workers. The total amount of the project is 19 USD. The profit will be 10 USD.
I have a dairy cow which produce 5 litres per day, one litre cost 0.5 usd. I normally sell 4 litres which generate 2 usd per day which used to save. I will use the amount to repay Zidisha if the other project goes down. This is how I plan to approach my Zidisha .
