I am a lady of dignity, born and brought up in a village setup at a place called Elderma Ravine in Koibatek District, Baringo County. I was brought up there and schooled in the same place. I am from a very humble family, not very well off. I did my fourth form in the year 2005. God is faithful that my parents struggled to pay school fees for my education because of the situation of our family till i finished.
I am now doing my degree at Mt. Kenya University, which I am almost to finish by December. How I wish I will get the amount that is remaining to clear my school fees. After I am through with education, there is an opening somewhere where I will get a job immediately as I wait for my certificate.
I have a small business of selling my farm produce from my home village, which makes me earn some cash to pay my school fees. God is faithful that we have a small piece of land on which I grow maize and some vegetables. I also have one cow that produces some milk, which I sell locally to get some cash. I will be very grateful to Zidisha if funded so that I may be able to achieve my vision.
Zidisha team, thanks for making my vision to start to come true. I am now applying for my second loan that will help me add another cow to the one that already have. I want to become a large-scale farmer of dairy cows for milk production in the future.
I will buy one heifer, a small one that will cost me KSH. 40,000 (445 US dollars). I already have 250 dollars as a profit I got from the produce of the first loan. The addition of another cow will help me increase my livestock and also milk production. The money that I will get will help me look after my young family, for example, to cater for school fees and house rents. I am expecting my production to increase by 25 percent.
