About Me

My name is Martin Mwenda Mwebia and am a resident of Meru county that is located in the Eastern part of Kenya.am a married with three children all who are in various school here in Meru county.after completing my secondary school l engaged myself in my father's businesses for sometimes but later on after working for three years l started my own posho mill business in the area as there was an opportunity for this business in my home area.having done business with my dad was a great lesson for me as l acquired first hand experience and skills in the business which enabled me to grow the my posho mill business.l use my income to provide for my family as well as expand the business and develop myself economically.apart from business l like reading novels and spending time with my family.

My Business

l started the posho mill business way back in the year 2002.the business is very profitable here in Meru as l mill all types of cereals just to be above my competitors who mill only maize flour.on market days here at the shopping center the business is good that happens three days a week. From the business am able to make a monthly a net income of ks 30,000 after deducting expenses such as wages, rent and electricity bill. This is because l work hard to get orders from schools around Kithirune area.l handle my customers with lot of respect and very friendly so as to retain them and attract more.if my application is successful l will use the money to diversity the business where l will use the money to buy maize and mill them and later sell as flour which will enable me to make profit.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders,l take the opportunity to thank the Zidisha team for giving me this chance to grow my business and be part of the zidisha. l own a posho mill business and currently want to diversify the business by buying maize from the farmers and then mill it into flour which l will package and sell to my customers.l will use the loan to buy maize which will enable me accomplish this.once again Thanks to the Zidisha family.

Dear Zidisha, lts my prayer that you are doing fine.l am also fine here in Meru though its very cold.am grateful to my lenders as l have been able to buy maize today which l will start milling next week on Monday. am very positive that l will attract more customers as l am targeting the low income earners in the area who do not have the capacity to buy maize and afford the milling charges.but with the new venture they will be able to afford maize flour depending on ones ability to buy. Thanks to my lenders for they have made this possible.
