About Me

john kariro is a father of 7 children who are all schooling and age between 4 year and 17 years.i live in kiptagwanyi center.i was born in 1970 in kitale in a place called moisbridge by my two parent who by that time were a resident of kitale,i started my education in 1976 in primary school but before i complete my primary education,in 1980 my parent and whole of my family migrate to kiptagwanyi boombo village where my father bought a land and start living there till now .i completed my primary education in 1985 in standard 8 but i didn't enroll to the secondary as my parent could not afford my education,so as a young boy who at that time reaching std 8 was taken as an educated person, i was employed by one rich man who was buying cereal and was given order by cereal board to buy for them ,i was employed as a store keeper to look and to count the bug of cereal.i stay there for about 11 year till 1990 when i started my own business of cereal because the cereal board have move away from this town and the rich man also move away to another town called eldoret.in that case and i already got enough money from my work i started my own business.the earning from this business help my family to able to live a good live without any problem and able to feed my family cloth, and shelter which is the basic need

My Business

my business entail in cereal and farming in this area.i started this business from the money which i was employed by one rich person in early 1990.and from the experience from that man,i discover that in buying and selling cereal you must know when to help the farmer at buying cereal in a good price. also to read the climate when you want to do farming by timing the plating season, i plant my seed early than other people and also harvest earlier that other farmers,so i sell my product in a good price when there is no competition, after selling, i start buying from the farmer when thy are harvesting when many people want to sell there product in a low price, so in that way i got profit to sustain my business so that in February every year many people don't have cereal in their home ,and i fetch them in other area like busia where at that time thy are harvesting and i sell to the people in this area kiptagwanyi and surrounding and made profite, but some time some people area old like my parent so i must help them to get something to eat not only profit but some time i give them in dept so that thy can pay me at the end of year when thy will harvest and sometime thy don't pay and i count them as tenth to GOD .the business is profitable and the demand of my service is high in this area. the main challenge is poor road, high cost of this product like when i get them from far as busia.high cost of transport
