Josiah here, born and bred in a small Town in the North of Kenya. I'm the last born in a family of five. I come from a humble background and that inspired me to strive and achieve bigger and better things in life. Being a serial entrepreneur, I started off my first business at the age of 14, it was a farm produce delivery business that was facilitated using my Dad's bicycle. Though the business was quite profitable it affected my studies and had to quit and focus on my studies.

After high school, I developed an interest in online work and used to do freelance data entry and writing work for a friend who had a freelance account with Upwork. After trying different freelance jobs I found my sweet spot with writing. Over the past 4-years I've been exclusively offering my services in Content Mills platforms such as iWriter and more recently on Fiverr and Upwork.

My Business

My freelance work has been producing sufficient income for myself and my family BUT my objective has always been creating employment for my peers. MY GOAL is to establish an INDEPENDENT CONTENT CREATION AGENCY and offer employment opportunities for my fellow peers.

My PURPOSE for the loan is to help set up the necessary system I'll need to make my dream a reality; such as website, creating a training module and registering the business. This financing will go a long way in helping me realize a lifelong dream of empowering fellow youth to embrace self-employment through freelance work.

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the loan to develop a Training Module that will be of great help in advancing my vision of helping local youths find the necessary skills they need to prosper in FREELANCE WRITING. This is partly informed by the huge unemployment in my country.

So far, I've used the previous loans to setup the necessary infrastructure. Below is an expenditure breakdown thus far:

1. Domain+Hosting - $2.95 per month

2. Email Autoresponder - $16.5 per month

I intend to use the website as training portal where interested students can come and sign up for the course then receive the courses on a daily basis via email.

The entire budget for this venture is $150 BUT I only need to raise $70 as I have savings amounting to $80.

I will use the FULL AMOUNT of the loan for the SOLE PURPOSE of module creation.

REPAYMENT STRATEGY

The training will cost $10 per student (over a 10-day period). My projections is that I will be able to attract atleast 10-students for a start with a gross revenue of $100 after subtracting the expense of Hosting and Email Autoresponder I will be left with $70 NET REVENUE. Considering I will use part of the revenue for personal expenses I will be able to FULLY REPAY the loan within a 10-week window (with installments of $7 weekly)
