Am an honest,focused,hardworking medic aiming to provide affordable healthcare to my community.
I was born and brought up in a small village on the outskirts of Nyahururu town known as Maina.
After attending a local primary school in our village I joined starehe boys centre in Nairobi where I was placed under sponsorships. I finished high school in 2008,having excelled in both sports and academics. I pursued a bachelor of Science degree in Medical laboratory Science from Maseno university where I graduated in 2014.
I was employed for three years after graduating then set up a clinic and a laboratory from the savings I had made. This clinic is a way to give back to the community,we charge small fee for the services offered.
My business consists of two clinics both with medical laboratory and a small pharmaceutical store. It has three employees and an average income of Ksh 3000 per day.
One of the clinic is very helpful to the community around since there no other health facility near, I wish to grow it to a level where it can offer inpatient and maternity services.
Most of the profit is ploughed back to the business with the rest used to pay salary and my household expenses.
I plan to buy diagnostic equipments,reagents and rapid diagnostic test strips for my medical laboratory. The equipments include;
Hb machine $500
Laboratory rotator. $300
These equipments will enable my facility perform proper diagnosis which eventually result to patients receiving correct treatment.
