Project Proposal

Dietary supplements include vitamins, minerals, probiotics, herbs, and amino acids. They come in many forms — like pills, powders, liquids, and bars — that you can eat or drink.

Many people take dietary supplements to fill in the nutritional gaps in their diet. Others supplement in hopes of preventing disease or achieving specific wellness goals.

Supplementing may help you by: providing nutrients you can’t get from your diet, increasing your levels of nutrients if you have deficiencies,
supporting overall and specific wellness goals, complementing mainstream medical treatment plans, offering alternative therapeutic options

Some 50 essential nutrients (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, cofactors, essential amino acids, and essential fatty acids) were identified. Recommended daily intakes for those nutrients were also developed. The recommendations proved valuable in eliminating acute nutrient deficiency diseases.

During the past decades, focus has shifted to the role of diet and nutrition in long-term health. Nutrition has shown to play a role in the long-term health of heart, bones, joints, eyes, nervous system, and immune system.

Nutrition and vitamin supplement sales are a big pill to swallow – and a profitable one, say health care market researchers. According to Hamacher Resource Group, supplement market value in the retail sector reached almost $7 billion in the U.S. and is forecast to reach $278 billion by 2024.

Last year, supplements were among the top three independent pharmacy revenue makers. And, nearly 78 percent of U.S. consumers reported that they believe dietary supplements complement healthier lifestyles.

Persoanlly I expect to make 800 dollrs per month
