My name is Mary Boro, aged 24 and a single mother of one beautiful young lady.I was born in kenya, Nakuru county and raised in the outskirts of Nakuru while schooling at a tender age. I`m the first born in a family of six.I finished my O` level studies in 2008 and joined a collage of secretarial but dropped out one year later due to lack of school fees.
While at home I thought of an idea and started small farming where I planted kale's (Sukuma wiki) as it`s commonly known locally.People from my area liked my produce so much because I used composed manure which is biodegradable and I made it personally.Due to climatic changes, I was affected terribly that all my crops died leaving me with no choice but to look for an alternative business.
With the small capital which I had saved,I decided to venture in the sale of second hand clothes which my friends assisted me set up.I moved nearer to the Nakuru town and started purchasing in small quantities and selling them as I create good customer relationship with clients.I made customers everyday.I was able to construct a small stall to hang the clothes on which was good with publicity hence attracting more clients.
It`s due to the increased demand from my clients that made me figure out where I`ll get financial support ,coincidentally , a friend of mine informed me of this zidisha organization and I got interested.
He told me how the organization has changed his life and many other people.I finally requested him to guide me what next.
I now request the organization to consider my request as I want to boost my stock and expand my business to achieve my dreams in life.I have plans of going back to school in the near future for part time studies once my business stabilize.During my free time I make new friends and enjoy traveling.
My source of income currently is from my daily sales and orders of smart second hand clothes.I managed to open another Stall during my first loan term. These clothes I buy locally in whole sale and also sell them locally. This has even saved me expense of traveling far in search of small quantities. There is demand for my clothes because of huge relationship- with friends, church members, former school mates including passers by.
Regardless of competitive business in the market, my customers still come back due to strong bond between me and them.
Profits are made when costs are subtracted from Revenues. My monthly cost ranges at around $90 with more expenses reduced and a good revenue of averagely $150.
I`m in some small business groups where we practice merry go round on a weekly basis and I can get funds to repay the loan.
I believe second loan will enable me stabilize my business returns.
When I get this second loan, I plan now to expand on my new stall since I own two stalls courtesy of first loan. I also plan to ensure most moving clothes with high demand are given first priority.
I will take advantage of the forthcoming festive season of Christmas and ensure I have attractive stocks which can sell massively.
My customer segment actually buy more clothes during holiday season like the one we are approaching. I at times make 100% profit. This time round, I believe it shall be more if I receive this second loan.
I also look forward to ensuring my repayment is prompt to the later.
Thanks on advance.
