About Me

My name is Josephine Ntambo a Lenje by tribe and born in the central province of Zambia. iam 28 years old. I grew up with mum and dad. I went to Liteta primary school and completed my education at Chipembi Girls Secondary in Chibombo district. Iam a mother of 3 children. Thereafter, I did Agro-Business course in agriculture and I hold a Diploma. Iam working with the Ministry of agriculture as an agriculture extension officer . Besides that am also into vegetable farming business. With farming business I was inspired by parents who were successful farmers and I also want to follow suit by working hard and achieve the desired results in this business. Iam determined and focuses young lady with the vision to work hard and succeed in life.

My Business

Am involved into vegetable farming, I grow a variety of vegetables namely, Chinese cabbage, cabbages, tomatoes, onions, rape, carrots, okra, green pepper, egg plants and pumpkin leaves. I supply these vegetables to marketeers and also some supermarkets and I earn good income. I am also working as an agriculture extension officer of which I earn a monthly salary.
With farming business I want to be generating more income by investing heavily in this sector of business, by ensuring I have readily available the farming inputs I lack mostly such as fertilizer and water supply at the farms.
However, the profits made out this business I use them to develop the farm, pay farm workers, buy farming inputs and by helping my family especially those with challenges of school fees and also vulnerable women in our community in need of financial support.

Project Proposal

Am in need of funds at the farms to drill a bore wall to be supplying water at the farms because water is in short supply to avoid my vegetables from drying up. I also need to buy organic fertilizer and ensure that my vegetables gardens grow healthy. The cost of this bore wall is between K 15,000 to K 20,000 including buy other farming inputs to help me at the farms.
