Drip irrigation for my tomato farm

About Me

I was born in a village known as Simat in Uasin-Gishu county Kenya, where i attended community primary school later proceeded a national secondary school and completed my college learning in Nairobi in 2014 December. During my primary school studies i had fee problems since i came from a financially struggling family. I started operating a small tree nursery 0f 1000 tree seedlings per season of which sell each seedling at Ksh 5. I used the money i raised from the project to pay partly for my school fee and buy uniforms and textbooks and this helped me to pursue my Education smoothly.

My Business

TOMATO FARMING
I grow tomatoes as a Business. Tomatoes are on high demand due to my farm proximity to Eldoret town which has approximately 0.3m urban residents. I chose tomato farming because of my passion to farming and high returns. I use approximately 700USD for planting and general crop care till harvest per season. Upon harvest i get a profit of approximately 400USD per season. I partly use the profits i get for payment of school fees for my siblings, I reinvest some on other Businesses including poultry farming and Maize farming and save the rest for future use.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy 2000m of drip line at 200USD, connecting pipes at 100USD and water tank at approximately 170USD. This will reduce cost of irrigation and increase productivity and profits in the longrun by approximately 20% . I will partly use the profits to pay for school fees for my siblings, other for my daily expense and save some.
