Waking up to mother's voice even before she calls out. Absolutely not caring about showering, feeding or dressing up and knowing that everything will be taken care of, whilst still dwelling in yesterday's dream. Losing old stationary and getting a brand new shiny pencil or book was the dream. Still feeling lazy while putting on shoes and thinking about the half-done homework. And then, all of a sudden an outburst of energy occurs at one sight of the school bus and the peeps inside. Going on ‘adventurous’ trips in the school and feeling like the class next door is a whole another world. Making friends with security guards for little freedom trips on roads in school hours. Dancing like crazy for annual day performance and pleading the teacher to let you dance next to ‘bestfriend’. All girls running around during break chasing boys. Poor souls, run for their lives and dread getting caught. Well, that was the idea of fun back then. *evil grin* Coming home with dirt enveloping every inch of the body after intense running around and rolling in the mud. Yet, not feeling tired and ready for some action with street buddies including several dedicated ball catching dogs. Those extra five minutes allowed to play outside before dinner. Staring at favourite TV show with little idea that food is being put inside mouth. (Never grew up with an equally bratty sibling, pity I missed that part.) Extra excited and hopped-up during festivals, vacations, tours, any damn celebration, and for anything that looks like an infinitesimally happy event. Gosh, I miss the little me in me now.
