My names are David Maina Wairobi. I am 25 yrs old. I am married to Maureen Vugutsa and blessed with a beautiful one year old baby girl Shantelle Wanjiru. I am a tour guide by profession having studied at Nyandarua Business College. I live in Kayole estate, Embakasi Central Constituency in Nairobi County, Kenya. I am also a poultry farmer. I keep poultry mainly for eggs consumption. I currently have a stock of about 15 free range hens. I sell mostly to my neighbours at home. I also have a dog called Rex.
As I have indicated on my profile biography, I am a tour guide by profession but also a poultry farmer. I have managed to increase my hens stocks and eggs supply. I have been able to buy myself a second hand car which helps me to deliver my eggs quickly and efficiently during the day, during the night i work extra as a taxi driver which brings me extra income. I humbly seek help to finish up paying for the car which is in garage. I supply fifty[50] crates of eggs during the day of which each crate holds thirty [30] eggs. A crate goes for two hundred and seventy shillings [$2.7] thus fifty crates i get thirteen thousand five hundred [$ 135] per day. During the night the car gives me a minimum gross nett of a thousand shillings [$10] per night. Since i got blessed with another daughter who will be joining kinder-garden next year i have managed to use my profit to open up both children a joint bank account which i do save for them their future school fees. I deposit on their account on a daily basis. I have also managed to secure my family on a health insurance policy [NHIF] which i pay on a monthly basis. I have also managed to secure myself and my family a saving retirement work plan [NSSF] which i do send funds on a daily basis.
When i receive the loan, i will go and purchase the incubator, which holds 264 eggs. It costs around fifty thousand [50000] shillings. With the incubating machine, i will be able to incubate my own eggs thus increase my breeding stock expand and also help my locality incubating their eggs at a certain fee. My egg business will help my neighboring shops which sometimes have shortage in eggs stock, the profit which i will be saving will help me financially to expand my chicken stock which will lead to a greater egg production thus expanding my business.I have managed to save forty five thousand[45000] shillings given the loan i will manage to go and purchase the incubating machine. Hopefully i will be able to hatch 200 eggs thus 200 chicks after a span of twenty one [21]days.. Of which i will be selling one chick at a cost of a hundred[100] shillings. Thus giving me a total of twenty thousand[20000] shillings per month. After paying my rent of nine thousand [9000] shillings of the rented room for my business, paying my monthly loan of two thousand [2000]shillings per month and electricity bill of roughly two thousand [2000]shillings. I will be able to earn a profit interest of seven thousand [7000] shillings per month.
