About Me

My name is Patricia Asanti. I am 25 years old. I started my basic education at Holy Spirit Preparatory School in the Brong Ahafo region. I left that school when I was about to go to JHS. I later went to a school called Good New Baptist. It was there I completed my JHS education from Baptist with a good result. I moved. I had to go to a local technical school in my community due to financial problems. At the technical school, I took an electrical course to further my education. At the technical school, it was my wish to establish my own business but I had no capital. I then decided to work with a woman who owns an electrical shop. This helped me to gain some experience and I was able to accumulate some capital. I then started my own business but it was very difficult before I found Zidisha.
The unique thing about my culture and the land I stay on is that it's very peaceful for business. My children wish to establish in business. My hobby is exploring the internet for opportunities.

My Business

My shop is an electrical store. I sell electrical appliances like bulbs, cables, wires and extension boards, etc. These goods are very useful in my community because of the ongoing new construction. Many use these in their houses and also to complete their construction. I chose this kind of business because of the high demand of it in my community. With the establishment of this shop, consumers now have easy access to their wants at their doorsteps. The business cost me about 1000th cedis in starting up and my revenue now is a little more the 300 per half annum. I invest some of the profit I earn and,at the same time, assist my parents in paying my little brother's school fees. I also use some of the profit to pay my house rent.
