About Me

I am married and mother of three children who are still in their tender age. I was born in a family of five children in Nyandurua county and given education up to O' level. I was brought up in a christian family where I was taught to be helpful and kind to every person I met in my life. After my school I spent most of my time in volunteering in community services and church services. My husband and I have held hands together in teaching and planting a God fearing seed in our children who we believe we shall bring out good leadership that will have great values and principles. As a wife and a mother who loves her family I always encourage my husband we create specific days when we take our children for outings and picnics. This has been one of my greatest motivation in admiring to have my own job so that I will be of assistance to my husband financially.

My Business

As a wife, I admired the effort that my husband had towards his family. This gave me an urge to start something that will generate some income apart from my normal voluntary services. During the field work when we were visiting the needy, I learnt so many things that different people at different levels of life go through. The most important thing that I learnt and which propelled an idea in my mind was the problem facing the working class people. In most cases this group of people don't have adequate time or non at all to cook in their houses let alone have time for washing their clothes and clean their houses. That was a perfect idea, a vacuum that needed to be filled.
I went and shared the idea with my husband who appreciated and accepted to build me a shelter by the road side. I started cooking beans, tea, mixture of maize and beans(''pure'' in swahili or ''githeri'' in my local language). In the same place I also prepare kale and I pack peeled potatoes. At the end of the day I make some money about 10.9$ and make work easier for this people who don't have time to do it on their own. My small business has been running for the last six months and it has played a great role in my family and my community as I believe in giving back to the community.
My dream of assisting my husband in meeting some of his bills came true and many others like paying for my family hikes and picnics. Very soon I'm planning to employ two ladies who will assist me in this job.

Loan Proposal

In my business, depending on some days I operate up to 9:00 pm waiting for those clients who are late at their place of work. I have been using kerosene lamp and at times candles as a means of lighting. If given this loan, I want to do some wiring in order to be connected with electricity which will make my life easy and make the lighting better. My electrician gave me an overhaul wiring cost of 684.754$ which his labor is also inclusive. I will be very thankful if granted this loan which will make my dream come true. Thank you in advance.
