About Me

I am Daisy Kariuki a 23 year old Kenyan lady. I completed my university education last year.I have not been lucky to get formal employment. However, the internet has offered me an opportunity to make a decent living as a freelance transcriptionist and data entry person.
My clients are abroad and we meet virtually and we have never met in person. The trust they have in me gives me satisfaction and the morale to wake up and work everyday.
I hope I will mentor many young people to find alternative sources of income and stop relying on formal employment as jobs have become elusive.

My Business

It is not easy to get formal employment and even if one gets lucky the salary is little to sustain an individual. A reason I opted to be a freelancer.
I am a freelance transcriptionist and data entry expert. I am abled to make a substantial amount from transcribing videos and audio for my clients. On make occassions I am able to make over a thousand kenyan shillings per an audio hour. Data entry also earns me some little amount although not frequently.
Data entry supplements the income I get from transcription. I intend to also venture into being a virtual assistant.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders,

I have been offering my services online as a virtual assistant and transcriptionists since I completed my University education last year. Getting a formal job is difficult the reason I opted to employ myself. Armed with a laptop, a modem and a pair of headphones I have been reaping from this online jobs. I have created a rapport with my clients and I am overwhelmed with work. It is for this reason I want to convert a friend's cybercafe a call center. With this kind of facility I can train other people and outsource their services as VAs and transcriptionists. With a loan $487.825 I will purchase safe to use headphones comfortable chairs because of the long working hours. This is how I intend to use the learn in this worthy cause;

I will use $86.6618 to purchasing the headphones, $231.098 will go in to purchasing comfortable office chairs. I will subscribe to a reliable ISP with $98.2167 to ensure we have reliable internet access. Because of power blackouts I intend to purchase a back up generator at $57.7745.

This venture has a potential of creating more than 10 job opportunities and even more in the future as I get learn the dynamics involved. It can also be replicated by academic and article writers and even data entry experts. This is my idea to give back to the society and sustain myself. I hope you will fund my worthy cause to create jobs for my fellow youths in Kenya. TIA

Kind regards,
Daisy Kariuki
