Am a single mum raising know a 6 yrs old son zakir. I went through a lot of hardship to get where i am through a rough divorce and have a cater for my sons needs and his education.He just joined grade one which took a lot of my effort to raise the fee for him to join a good school.i started my business with a small capital but by the grace of God am in a better place know though with a lot of responsibility on my shoulders.my son hasn't figured out yet what he wants to be but with the new curriculum hopefully he will get there.i love watching inspirational movies and reading as much of my time is spent at the shop from morning to late at night,and have to still cater for my son.so am always occupied with going to the market the shop and my son as i cant afford an extra hand yet.

My Business

I Have a second hand cloths shop in Nairobi Roysambu area.i deal in ladies wear and fashion.clothing in ladies sector is really good because they are frequent clients who shop mostly all the time and compete with the daily trend wear all over the world.I have interest in fashion and i saw that the schools around the area and universities gave me more clients to buy from me.a month i can generate up to 40000 ksh. But it all depends sometimes as of last year business was really down because of the election so we praying that this year things will be okay.i used my profit in putting my son to school as he was transferring and going to class one.and am planning to relocate my shop to a bigger shop just two minutes from the old one and add more stock and expand in bringing in men's clothes and children's clothes.

Although I don't know what really happened (did Zidisha contact you?) and why (because youre repayments were a little late?) I can asure you that it is still a great pleasure for me and other lenders to give you and other borrowers a helping hand in life. And we will not stop to do so in the future because we hope to make our world a little better!
      I hope Zakhir and you are doing fine and business runs better for you as I understood second hand clothes seem to drop in Kenya?!?

    Why are my beneficiaries calling me and asking me about my loan.and haven't gotten a call or text from the organization. Is this the way that this non profit organization works????no call for me from the office.people get caught up.i hope no one else has to go through such humiliation from the organization.

      a/k/a the Team (whom you can see here: www.zidisha.org/team).

      Although the two (2) current members of the Staff
      also are lenders, most lenders are *not* on the Staff.

      Only the Staff can help you with administrative and

      Dear Sheripher,
      I'm very sorry to hear that your business slowed down again and you can't pay back at the moment. This shouldn't be a big deal for us lenders but maybe you should ask Zidisha to decrease your installments so that your on-time repayment ranking doesn't drop to much which might give you problems in getting new loans in the future?!

    With the loan i add more stock,last year i added more maniquins for my dispaly,this year with the credit limit increament was expecting to oay part of my sons fee and add more stock to my shop.
