About Me

I have passed through life in various masterminded ways since I have managed to put food on my table since I was a teenager. I helped my parents in their work as a kid, even going to the extent of learning to take decisive decisions in their pineapple plantation business. I went to Near Fomena T. I. Ahmediya Senior High School, where I studied business management so as to be equipped with entrepreneurship skills to manage my family business and to also start my business in 2 years ahead, and that was way back in 2008.

I did well in the business sector, and I remember I was chosen to go to seminars and join mentorship groups in my community, which helped me a lot because I learnt to use power the right way to benefit others positively. All the while, I had the passion to open the best brand of restaurant in my area, and this gave me a different career to master for myself. With this in mind, I applied to Prince Boateng Memorial Vocational School at Nsawam. Because I have the passion to learn what I am into, I did my maximum best to become the best student to graduate in our time.

After school, life become difficult; our farm plantation experienced a heavy hit, which brought a lack of fortune to our family. Food was difficult to put on the table, but I worked hard to establish a business to remove the headache by utilizing my business as well as my vocational skills to establish a provisions store, where I sell home supplies to people around. This helped turn the situation around and I am happy I did that. I am praying it continues to grow and expand to meet all my expectations and give a helping hand to other people who need my services to create a happy community.

My Business

I sell provisions -- which includes milk, sugar, rice, biscuits and other stuff -- to the general public and mostly to people around me who are generally my immediate customers to serve. Establishing this business has not only put a smile on my face but has helped other people as well by offering them ready services, reducing the cost of travelling to the market all day long to buy foodstuffs.

I receive much appreciation from my customers. However, sometimes there is a problem if the consumers’ needs have not been meet. My business will do well when expanded with respect of getting in many stocks to meet the demands of my customers. I get a whole lot of complaints that sound like ‘Mat do you have this, do you have that?’ Oh! My God! How I wish I had them to give it out to them.

I know doing this will help keep the business and help my customers as well. I always have a dream to open up the business for expansion by buying more inventory and also opening sub-branches to meet the societal demand. This helped me kickstart my business knowledge engine. I had been looking up outsourcing places to generate funds to help my business grow when a friend introduce me to an online microlending industry, www.zidisha.org, where I will be helped to bring my business dreams into reality and be happy.

I have taken it upon myself to do well and manage this business to the fullest satisfaction and achieve more goals, but all these are somehow not possible when there is no access to funds to finance it. I love my work and I know with the help of zidisha.org I can make it real and expand it.

Loan Proposal

The Zidisha team has been very helpful and I thank God I met them at the right time. I needed them to help me put food on my table for my family all along the way.
In addition to my provisions store, I have been able to open a stationery store to serve more and add more to the community. Presently, I need to enlarge my stationery store to meet the demands of students and staff in my locality. With the increase in demand for books, pens, stamps, notepads, etc. by students and the entire staff of my newly emerged business, I need to raise a considerate amount in order to acquire all this stock so as to be able to compete in the market and to prevent my business from collapsing. People loose patronage when they can’t attain what they are asked for in a long period of time. Being able to meet this goal will not only help me but also help me attain educational help from the administration who share a common interest in my business and its advantages to the entire student body. I also look forward to helping more students when this loan is raised (many students who suffer financially). I look forward to seeing this loan raised and it benefits derived and I will continue to sing the praise of Zidisha.org.
