About Me

I am named Edith Yah, I had my primary and Secondary education at Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. I live in the Christian families of Mr. Robert Mensah and Monica Akos Mansah of Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. My house number is MP 122, Berekum Brenyekwa. When you reached Berekum, just board car from main station and alight at Presbyterian Senior High School, Berekum Brenyekwa my house is just nearby or asks for Papa Mensah story building. I opened my own tailoring shop after completing my three (3) years learning with name ‘KEEP ON TAILORING SHOP’ in the Berekum Municipality. My hobbies are Writing, Laughing and watching movies.

My Business

After completing my senior high education, I stayed home about two (2) years for my parents to feather my education at the Berekum College of Education, and they tried their best several times but still not going through because of money, I got an admission but there’s no money. So they sent me to Kumasi to learn how to sew a beautiful dress, and I have completed peacefully. Because it’s not only school man can be prosper. So I opened my own tailoring shop with name “KEEP ON TAILORING SHOP” in Berekum opposite main station. As my perfect work and a nice dress I always sew to my customers, I have a big contract with some other schools which they brought their materials to sew for their students. Because of my respectful and my good work, I always busy at work. And my business is well known in the Berekum Municipality especially my community, so it’s very booming and patronizing as well.

Loan Proposal

I want to expand my workplace and make it wider, because there’s more space for me to add, and buy more sewing machines for those who are ready to learn from me. So I need support from Zidisha and dear Lenders to do that. Even when a customer’s comes in my shop there’s no enough seat for them, so if I may expand my workplace and make it wider, my customers will always feel comfortable when they comes to my workplace. I hope you surely help me to fulfill my dream. Thank you.

    Dear Zidisha Team and Lenders,

On the last week, I contacted Edith only to find out more of what makes her impossible to make payment. She humbly informed me that, she has delivered a baby boy in a week ago. So I should tell for you to give her at least 1 month to come back and pay the arrears. Thank you for your understanding.

    Hello Edith,

Thank you for being a borrower on the first peer-to-peer micro-lending platform, building direct connections between borrowers and lenders across the globe (Zidisha).

I am happy that you have been assigned to me as your Volunteer Mentor (VM).
I am very grateful to have the pleasure of being a part of this organization (Zidisha).

I hope you and your families are enjoying the loan you received from this noble service (Zidisha). It is my belief that your business probably is growing well. You didn’t go for a bank loan, which could have required paying back more in interest than the capital amount. Instead, you chose to receive an affordable loan from Zidisha to help your business grow. And, today, just look at how your business probably is running better than you expected. This is so amazing!

This platform also is here to help you to expand your business, and to help you not worry much about business collapse. Our dear Lenders extend their generosity and express their desire not just for your business to succeed, but also for you to enjoy your life. Some borrowers and lenders even become real friends on this platform. :)

I would be very grateful if you would continue to make payments according to your repayment schedule. Lenders on Zidisha contribute to you from the bottom of their heart, and truly want to help you to overcome your challenges. Please, the fund that our Lenders use to lend to you is the same fund that they use to lend other borrowers. So, if you don't repay the loans they extend to you, then they cannot extend future loans to others. This is the way it works.

One person has reaped a large harvest, but today we all are sharing in it. Who is that person? That person is our beloved founder (Julia Kurnia). May the Lord Almighty bless her (Julia) and give her more knowledge and a long life. May the Lord Almighty also bless all of our Lenders, always.

Thank you for being a part of and enjoying this noble platform, Zidisha.

    Dear Edith,

You assigned to me as your Volunteer Mentor (VM), I really appreciate your on-time repayment rate of 100%, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and motivate you to keep on. Please, let’s all make our repayment according to our Repayment Schedule. If we continue to make repayment accordingly, our dear Zidisha and Lenders will never hesitate to support us to fulfill our dream. Also, dear Zidisha and Lenders are ready to help us to grow our business but if we delay our repayment, Lenders cannot help us or someone else. Please, just imagine that, there’s nowhere to get this affordable loan. Even bank loan interest or deduction is very high that we can’t go for it. Thank you once again and have a nice day.
