I am proud for this microfinance because it’s a caring listening financial partner. One can be able to reschedule his/her loan in time of crisis. One can speak his mind and be listened. Can be visited by officers intern for Zidisha. When applying our loan one can be able to choose:-
    1. Interest rate.
    2. Grace period
    3. Time of payment
We can access information regarding our loan through our phone or computer internet. This makes Zidisha the best microfiche that I have never come across. Long live Zidisha.

I would like to request this microfinance to return to the previous new member’s loan applications. In fact I have come learn that it’s too hard now for anew applicant to receive a loan.ie getting three neighbor and family members not too easy. Also opening of one secret to many peoples. I would request zidisha old members to do introduction of new applicants. A number of Signatures of old members with proper records can help.

I need to reschedule to have one month grace period because I did not receive this Loan on time. I got my loan on 26th October 2012. I had planned to be paying on 25th of each month. This date had already passed, and then I thought it could be pushed to the next month. To Correct the in convinces, I thought it wise to have a one month grace period. Now, I will promptly be paying on 25th of each month.

I deal with agrochemical and veterinary product
Why many customers prefer my business than competitor is:-
    1. I have branded my shop for farmer to identify it easily.
    2. I have merchandised properly and in orderly manner ie animal health product, injectables, fungicides and animal feeds separately.
    3. I took my time teaching farmers to do good agriculture practices, visiting them on their field for free.
    4. I Do capacity building by inviting expert to train farmer to improve their work.
    5. I have computerized my work.

I would like to congratulate Zidisha microfinance for the loan that I got on November last year. The loan really helps me very much. I am an agro vet dealer in Karunga Bahati Nakuru. I used this money during high planting season i.e February – May I bought fertilizers, seeds (maize, cabbages, beans, wheat) for sale.. On 16 June I stated a sub branch in the neighboring town Kabatini.
Now as we are approaching short rain season whereas farmers put horticultural product e.g tomatoes and cabbages after harvesting maize and wheat I would like to repay the 18% remaining balance at once and immediately apply a large amount of loan. For it to be of much beneficial to me, I would like to get it on time, this is by the start of October.
I am happy and proud that Mr. Vivian and Daniel who are clients’ interns for Zidisha Kenya have visited my business and positively commented about my recommendable job.

    Hello Lenders,

My name is Vivien Barbier and I’m a client relationship interns for Zidisha in Kenya. Today, I had the opportunity to meet Mr Stephen Githae and to visit his two businesses.

When I enter Stephen’s boutique, I was surprised to see how big and how well organised it was. It really looks like the pharmacies that we can find in Nairobi. But Stephen doesn’t run a pharmacies business, he is selling agronomic and vet products to farmers of the region. The business is located in Karunga, in the east-African rift valley at an altitude of more than 1800m. The sun is very strong there but thanks to the altitude temperatures are not too high. This creates a perfect environment for farming so this is why all surrounding areas are full of farms and crops.

The shop of Stephen is ideally located; farmers don’t need to move to the town to buy supplies. Stephen used Zidisha’s loan to increase the size of his inventory by buying mainly fertilizer, seeds and chemicals. He explained me that without the loan he would have had to go several times per week to the city to buy small quantities. Thanks to the loan he can buy bigger quantities and stay in the store to see his customers. Stephen is not only a seller, he has been trained during two years in an institute that taught him how to advice farmers and breeders. It is thus very important for him to be in the store so that he can help farmers to develop good agricultural practices. It is easy to see that Stephen is putting a lot of effort to help the community; thank to him, already six members of his village are now also client of Zidisha.

To capitalize on the success of his shop, Stephen decided, two month ago, to open a new Agro Vet shop in another village. Stephen businesses already created 3 jobs; his wife and two employees are now working for him.

Stephen has great project for his children, he told me that he think that his first daughter will become a doctor and the second one, a teacher. He don’t now yet, what his 3-month old son will become, but he told me that he would be happy to transmit the Agro Vet business to him.
