My Business

My business is located in Amagoro town on your way to Amagoro primary school Opposite midland Hotel and has been operation for the past four years within the area. At the time of its inception, I was mainly dealing with business was computer maintenance and repairs, sale of photocopying papers among others. With time, I brought on board other services like internet marketing, developing project proposals and business plans. My major customers include schools and other learning institutions, churches, individuals, companies and other organizations using computers for various applications. The business yields average profit margins and has acquired a reasonable market share within its area of operation courtesy of the quality of services and products offered. This has enabled it to survive despite the stiff competition from other similar businesses. My business does amazingly well and has grasped a reasonably proportion of the market share over time. It currently yields a net profit of Ksh 50,000 (US $ 500) every month. I have one employee who is in charge of marketing and financial operations of the business. I am fully in charge of management of the business; a role which I have always played very well. Personally, as a businessman, I am very optimistic that such schemes as Zidisha will only reach us to greater heights and help us achieve our goals as individuals in the business world.

I will always be thankful to Zidisha for what I have done with the previous loan. I have managed to repay back my loan without much difficulty. Its healthy and normal for any business in the world to have competition, I have always had various mechanism of dealing with competition the past one year, I had a very aggressive sales team which was moving around the town, schools and villages to make sales. By doing so, I have managed to increase my profitability from the previous Ksh 34,500 to Ksh 80,000. My increased profits is also attributed to the number of temporary employees I had employed as a pilot project to ascertain whether it is viable for my business or not and whether I should adopt the system. After such improvement I decided to adopt the approach which so far has been a great success.
There is a saying that goes, “No matter what Customer is always the King” I value my customers and I value their opinions and inputs. When they complain about a certain product or they are dissatisfied with something, I normally take into keenly. But above all I have always adhered to employee satisfaction. As a business manager I always have ears for them no matter. I always take time to listen to each and everyone before I make crucial decisions regarding to my business enterprise.
Busia County Government is planning to set up a complex that will include pre – unit, Primary school, High School and a college 2 kilometers from my business location. To fully maximize this projects, I have designed a strategic plan with elaborate measures on how to accomplish them. On marketing frontier am planning to set up my website which will market my products both locally and internationally. This will increase my profits by 20% or even 25%. On human resource management am planning to employ two who will have a wide experience on database management and detailed web design. I will expand my business to accommodate this.
To make everything to go as I have planned I will also need a backup generator to help me whenever there are power shortages which are very frequent in this part of the world. With my savings and my second loan I believe my dream of having a leading ICT centre in Kakoli sub location will be a done deal. Please Zidisha family help me to achieve this. About Me

Am Gordon Jeneby Kapuliaka from Awata, Busia County Western Kenya. I attended Kakoli primary school and later St Pauls Amukura High School where I passed well. Thereafter I joined Egerton University of Science and Technology and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Option.
Am the fourth born in our family of five and the only child who has managed to go up to the university level in terms of education.
With hard life I was brought up by my parents in rural Kenya and a long period of unemployment I decided to venture into business and am very much grateful I can manage to take care of my family with the little proceeds I gets from business though I channel most of my returns back to business
