About Me

My names are Andrew Wamboye ,I am the third son to Mr James Wamboye and Selfa Wamboye. I have five siblings and I am married and blessed with two children. I studied in Umo Primary school were I did my KCPE and proceeded to Mundika Boys School for my secondary education , I passed well and joined Egerton University for acertificate in farm management.
I secured a job as a farm manager in a neighboring farm and though the pay was not good, I worked for a year since I was passionate about livestock. I learnt about chicken farming and dairy farming. With the little saving of about $20 I had made ,I decided to start mixed farming,I grew vegetables and kept poultry in my fathers farm. I reinvested my profits and the farm is quickly growing as well as giving me my daily bread.
my two sons are aged 5 and two. my elder son wants to be a farmer like me when he grows up.
I love rugby so much and play for a local team,we won trophies at the county level last year. I always watch rugby and soccer during my free time.

My Business

I am a small scale commercial ,mixed farm. I keep livestock and grow vegetables in my farm.I currently have 200 layers and 0.05Ha under assorted vegetables.
I sale eggs and vegetables to my clients who include shops, hotels, hospitals and schools around. I price my produce fail and maintain high standards of cleanness so as to retain my customers.
I choose agribusiness because it was less capital intensive and well paying as the profit margins were good.
my cost of production is $250 on average per month and my revenues range between $400-450 per month.
i spend my profits in reinvestment since my farm is still under equipped.i pay my children fees, support my siblings and parents.

Loan Proposal

I am looking forward to execute my strategic plan for the next two years and that will be expanding my assorted horticulture farm by 3 more acres. I wish to borrow $200 that I will use to expand my farm by 1/2 acre. I would use the many to clear and prepare the farm and buy seeds. The demand for the commodities has risen and the expansion plan will help fill the gap and increase my profits by 20%. thank you
