About Me

I went to primary school in mid 1980’s with numerous hardships, walking long distances and going for lunch home and back for afternoon classes on bear feet under scorching sun and sometimes heavy rains. Some times i could walk home for luch only to get nothing ready to put in my stomach. So we mostly depended on raw sugarcane and headed back to school. I lacked school fees after KCPE and had to stay home for one year doing boda boda and selling dry maize (Kenya runda) at the age of 15 years. My brother sponsored my secondary education and college education till I did my diploma in IT. I searched for job for 3 years without success. I once worked as mtu wa mkono when the famours blue house (Suam supermarket was under construction in Kitale town and worst of it my whole month payment sunk when the foreman disappeared into thin air and all of us who were under him were left without any assistance Later I decided to weed people’s farms and secure an old computer. A friend of mine lends me his old HP 3560 printer and I started typing and printing services from my rented house though ink was so expensive by then. I later got another old computer and started training people also. I now have a laptop and modem so I can do even online tasks and assist scholars in preparing the scholarly documents. I joined a Sacco and saved for several months which helped me to acquired loan and bought a motorbike which I have employed a rider. I plan to upgrade my IT skills to higher levels in future. In culture it is believed that a lad must work hard no matter the circumstances of life. Most of my age mates got in to family life at young ages because most of them are idle. My daughter wants to be a teacher. I like playing gospel music because I am an upcoming gospel Musician.

My Business

I run a cybercafé business printing, photocopy, scanning, lamination, computer repair and maintenance, sale of computer accessories, binding, project management, computer training statistical and data analysis, system development and analysis, motorbike transport business. My main customers are college and university students undertaking projects, primary schools who print and photocopy exams, report cards, prepare teaching aids etc.
I use profit to pay rent, pay school fees increase inventory and save in the Sacco. I have also decided to venture into farming. I have constructed a house for my house hold and been able to pay dowry for my dear wife RUTH. My daughter fees is 15,000/= per year and I am l also servicing an insurance policy for her fees as well as my full house hold health insurance.
I have two brothers and one sister whom I am also assisting to pay their school fees, one in university third year, another one in technical training institute and last one in form three. I contribute to NHIF as well as NSSF so that during old age I have the benefits and my health is also taken care of.
My costs are around 15,000/= per month and revenues of approximately 2000.
I Choose this kind of business because i find it interesting and helps me to be well versed with what is going on around the world.
My father passed way three years ago and now i support my mother who has also ailed for more than half a year. She is now doing well after i took her for a cataract eye surgery and Trans-Nzoia county hospital.
My son is 8 months old and I have also started saving for his fees.
I plan to officialise my marriage through a church ceremony before the end of this year and I know my business investments will help me get through well with the process.

Loan Proposal

I have one and a half acre piece of land which I purpose to plant maize and beans this year. The planting season is here, I have ploughed but I already. I need to purchase the seeds for maize and beans as well as Diamonium phosphate fertilizer for planting. These will cost approximately 12,000 Kenyan money. If I get a loan of KSH 9552, it will enable me to top up the balance and be able to plant my piece of land on time.
