My names are Rachel Dorcas Anyango. I was born in the year 1990 in Kaptembwo, Nakuru County. Our rural home is in Ambira sublocation in Siaya County. I was brought up by a Christian family. We lived happily with my parents despite my father’s limited income that he was earning while he worked at Eveready batteries Ltd. When I was four years old an unfortunate incident happened whereby my mother passed on while delivering my younger brother. This was a very difficult moment for our family, however we continued trusting God for our lives for the Bible says that ‘all things worketh together for good to them that loves the Lord’.
My younger brother was taken to Rangala children home in Siaya County where he was taken care of until he reached the age of three. I was also enrolled at Kaptembwo primary school in the year 1997 where I started class one up to class eight. I proceeded to Nakuru day secondary school and did my form one to form four, sitting for Kenya certificate of secondary education in the year 2009. Life after school has been very challenging especially in Kenya where jobs are not easily available. I pursued Diploma in community health and I am currently studying Business Management so as to apply the skills in my own Business. My goal is to open a stationeries shop with computer /printing services. I am finishing my studies in June this year after which. am planning to start my own business. I am also working at Docucare printers where I am getting some income to sustain me and my education.
I am currently working at Docucare printers and pursuing business management course. I do attend evening classes from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. I have vision of starting my own business after completing my studies. I believe that the skills that I will have obtained will be of great importance to my business productivity. I am planning to open a stationeries shop with computer /printing services. It is a very good business having worked at Docucare printers doing almost similar services and a ready customers that is students from different institutions around. This business will boost my income and I will be able save and reinvest as I am still a young lady, not yet married and looking forward for a brighter future.
I am finishing my first semester at University of Nairobi in Nakuru this May on 23.and resuming back in June hence this loan will help me to clear my next semester fee which is the last semester for my Diploma course in Business management.my next semester fee is ksh 48.this will really be of great help since I won't have to worry so much about clearing my fee in time hence I will be able to concentrate in my studies.
