I am a young self-directed entrepreneur. I am currently raring chicken and doing a little bit of salesmanship to save for my upcoming college studies in September. I love what I do and I look forward to scaling it up to unimaginable levels.
I was born in 1992 in Kisumu, Kenya. I have grown up all my life here. I have watched my town grow and the population increase, I want to tap into this potential.
My work is very simple. I buy chicks, at about a dollar each. I then feed them everyday for the next few weeks then resell them when they are about 1.5Kg full chickens for about 4 dollars.
The work involved is quite intensive, I have to make sure that first of all I find feed to feed all of them in stages. I then have to feed them with medicines as well to ensure healthy growth. When they are fully grown I sell them for a profit.
For every chicken I buy at $1, I feed it for about $2, then resell for about $4. The profit margins are bigger when done in bulk.
Hello Zidisha lenders,
I am seeking this amount so that I could ramp up my business a little bit. I am currently facing a bit of cashflow problems, but business is generally good.
With this loan I shall be able to buy feeds for 4 weeks for 100 chickens. By the time I shall hit the 4th week, they shall be ready for sale and I shall have recovered my money and therefore qualified for a much bigger loan that would take me to the next level.
I look forward to hearing positively from you. Thank you.
