About Me

My name is Stephen Kiratu Maina and a resident of racecourse estate in Nakuru town.am married with three daughters all who are in various colleges here in nakuru county. After graduating from Kenya polytechnic l was employed as a electrician for fifteen years in Nairobi city but later started my own electrical shop here in Town.Though at first it was a challenge l thank God for this far as this has enabled me to educate my daughters and develop myself economically.l as do electrical repairs within the town.

My Business

l started the electrical shop in 1997 after getting out of employment. The business is very profitable and l do get my stock from the wholesalers in Nairobi and sell at a profit margin of 30%. mostly l stock the china product as they are cheap and easily affordable to the customers.Although there is a lot of competition from other traders l make sure that my prices are competitive and my technical knowledge in this field serves as added advantage to my business.l make an average of ks 15,000 as profit after deducting the business expenses.if advanced with the loan l will add more stock to the business hence increasing the sales.

    Hi Stephen,
Great to see that you are doing well and always repaying on time.
In fact, if I could make a recommendation...
If you are finding it easy to make the current repayments, you might want to consider rescheduling to pay the loan off early.
That way you could save interest!!! Which is always a good business outcome.
    All the best
    Michael.
