My name is Joyce Njoki Njeru. I am 38 years old, married and a mother of two beautiful girls.
I was born in Embu district and schooled there from pre-primary to form four. I then joined Kabete Technical Training Institute in Nairobi and undertook a diploma in Transport Management and later joined Elite Institute for a diploma in IT and Secretarial Studies.
I later joined Pan African Christian University for an undergraduate Degree in Counselling which is on-going.
I am currently working with I-media Company in Nairobi Westlands area- Corner Plaza 3rd Floor as an Administrative Assistant and previously I have worked with Telkom-Orange and Amicus School.
I have recently set up a Kindergarten(1 month ago) between 87 and Corporation stage under the name of Joy Nairobi School. I am currently working as an Administrative Assistant at I-media Company in Nairobi Westlands-Corner plaza building 3rd Floor.
My main aim of starting the Kindergarten is to lay a good foundation for the small children in the neighbourhood demonstrating the fact that it is possible to have a friendly environment where kids can feel at home away from home.
Currently we have seven kids who've enrolled and more are booking for next term(May intake). I have employed two very good and experienced ECD teachers and one Administrator, one chef and one cleaner. I'll be paying the employees initially from the support of my husband and also from proceeds I get from sale of food crops that I grow back in the village.
I hope to provide play facilities for the kids and so far I've managed to put up swings, bought a ball for them and I look forward to being able to buy a portable garden pool which the kids can use for swimming thus the need for Zindisha loan.
I look forward to a kind person who can grant me a loan to facilitate the buying of the portable garden pool.
I'll repay the loan from my salary as I await for the Kindergarten to grow and be able to employ me as a full time employee.
Thanks Lenders for my two previous loans which were used to purchase an intex garden pool and the second one was used to make signboards and advertising placards and pay city council license. These have seen the growth of the kindergarten from six kids first semester to the current 15 kids by the close of this second semester and 100% retention rate.
I have acquired a new field next to the school which I wish to fence nicely so as to be able to set up the garden pool there permanently and also move the swings and the sandpit there permanently. I therefore request for a third loan of $605 which I'll use as follows:
I'll buy 30 iron sheets @ $5.6 thus $168( for 30 pcs). I'll also buy poles and nails which will cost $82 and pay $ 40 as labor for this job.
I also intend to buy a refurbished desktop computer and a simple printer which will be used for preparing learning materials for the kids and also printing of advertising leaflets.
The computer is costing $201 and the printer is costing $115.
I kindly appeal to the lenders to lend me this loan so that I can work on this field over this short holiday. These facilities will be open to all the kids in the community as these are rare facilities in the community.
