About Me

I am the second born in a family of eight. My parents are peasant farmers who by feeding us with a meal is luck because it is hard to get one. I have undergone my O levels and college education where it was so difficult for me to be in school throughout. I had to work for four days in a week to raise my education fee and go to class the rest week days. It reached somewhere that I couldn't be able to go to class again and became a street boy for sometime. In my family i am the breadwinner hence i must work extra harder to meet my families and my needs.
I successfully opened a small kiosks way back in 2010. I used to sell animal feeds only but since i joined Zidisha i have been dealing with animal feeds and mineral licks.

My Business

My business has got a title by name Stop-over Agrovet. It is situated in Kigumo town Kiambu County, in Kenya. In my business I have employed one person whom we work with I buy several bags of animal feeds and sell them by either the whole bag or by measuring it into kilograms. In our area daily farming is our economic activity hence making the product to move at a high speed. I buy 10 bags of animal feeds in a week at a cost of 25,000/= and sell them in the same week at a cost of 30,000/= making a profit of 5,000/= a week and in month time pocketing 30,000/= profit. I also sell mineral licks in my business.
If i expound on this figures i am capable of making good profit annually. Am now focused on expanding my business on higher heights and open up other related business branches in my neighbouring village. I also would like to introduce dairy related products and make my business a dairy farming hub for all farmers. Since I joined zidisha, I have grown economically because from the loans I had previously applied from zidisha have helped restock my business. I will be glad if Zidisha Microlending Movement will consider my proposal and fund my business.

Loan Proposal

Hi kind lenders of zidisha, I am humbled to be given another opportunity to write my loan proposal once again. I am applying for a loan of ksh 16000 which will help fight drought in our society at this rainy season. Because you will fund me, I will buy subsidies but quality planting materials. I will purchase 5 bales of seeds of maize plating at a cost of ksh8000 . I will also purchase 5 bags of plating and topdressing fertilizer at a cost of ksh8000. This will help fight drought by bringing planting equipments and materials nearer to the community and society at large. From the sale of seeds and fertilizer, I will make a profit of ksh 5000 which will help me repay my installments, restock my agrovet by total sale, help my family and source of food. I humbly wait to withdraw the funds to put them to work asap. Thanks as you fund the drought fight.
