my name is margaret huine,i am a single mother with five children.i am a poultry farmer in mihango(just some few distance from komothai where my farm is).plot no.20.i usually keep layers for commercial purposes as i am able to sell my eggs at a profitable price thus enabling me to cater for my two last born children who are still schooling.my customers are the shopkeepers ie wholesellers and retaillers.i also sell the eggs to consumers as some prefer me to shopkeepers because i sell to them at an affordable price.my products are of high stardards, affordable and safe for human consumption thus i usually do not have a problem looking for customers as they look for me due to my quality products and this has made me survive in this sector of business.what i can say is that i am comfortable with my work as i manage to get maximum profit after deducting my expenses that is:poultry house renovation, poultry health checkup, poultry food, general management, revenue and all others.with my earnings i have managed to educate my children, save cash and also do other farming ie that of maize and beans.
i am one of the most developed poultry farmer in komothai as i have managed to have very many customers compared to the others.what has made me to suervive in this cut-throat competition is my motive of:quality products, affordable and fare price, humanity and hardwork.some of the risks of this job are:eggs may broke due to mishandling, attack of eggs by predators like rats, theft and other minor problems.roughly i manage to sell 350trays of eggs each tray costing 120ksh. thus giving me a conducive profit.i store my eggs in trays for safety and easy handling and care to avoid losses.for every sale i manage to get a profit of 25000ksh a month after all expenses.
first is to thank you a lot for the first loan that really assisted me.with this second loan i am planning to add extra stock and still improve the condition of the stock housing.as these are the basic requirements for this job.i will also use this second loan to buy their food ie chickmash for the young ones and still use the amount for the upkeep of the stock for the next few months.be blessed in advance!
