About Me

My name is Nancy Muthoni, third born in a family of 6. I live in Kinangop Nyandarua county am married and I have 3 children (1 boy and 2girls).being a third born I had a lot of challenges as I was to assist in a lot of household chores and to set good examples to the rest of the sibling, In Kinangop we have good climate which is favourable to most of the crop including cabbages, carrot, French peas and irish potatoes. Almost all domestic animals does very well in this area but in my farm I rear 1 dairy cow and1 heifer, 5 sheep and poultry. Currently I want to diversify my dairy farming as it bringing good returns

Am a farmer mostly concentrating on dairy farming. currently I have 3 dairy cattle producing 30kg of milk per day we use 4kgs for subsistence use hence we sell 30.5kg per day to Tulaga farmers co-operative society at 0.4dollars per kg. 0n average am able save 106 dollars per month after meeting all my monthly expenses. Am intending to plant more fodder crops for my cow during August rains in preparation of the dry spell. Am intending to plant a hybrid maize variety which will take 4 months to mature and also buy a calf

I will use this loan for buying fodder crops for my livestock worth 97.09 dollars which I believe will be enough for me for the next season. I will also buy cattle feeds for my livestock worth 97.09 dollars which will again be of a great help to me as I will be able to cub this rising price's. I will also buy fertilizer and pesticides worth 77.67 dollars both for the use of my livestock I really trust this loan will be of great help to me. this will help me increase my income because I believe my cattle will increase milk production which I believe will increase by at least 20% thus helping me involve my self with the community I come from by participating in community work and financial assistance and also I will be able to go on paying my children's school fees comfortably. thanks for helping me and being in this journey with me.
